International
Scholastics House
Pietermaritzburg
Since
2002 the
Administration of
the AM SCJ Province
was working on an
appropriate facility for the SCJ International
Formation House in
South Africa. After
a long time of
examination of
properties in
Pietermaritzburg,
Kwa-Zulu Natal area
the above mentioned
residence was
purchased on the 30th
of November 2004. At
the beginning of
January 2005 “Dehon
Formation House” was
opened to all the
students from the
African Provinces.
The project is a
common venture of
all the SCJ entities
of the African
Provinces, namely:
Cameroon, Congo,
Madagascar,
Mozambique and South
Africa.
This
community provides
post-noviciate
formation for the
scholastics,
focusing on
integration of the
Dehonian life within
the spirit of
Christian
discipleship.
Scholastics are
provided with human,
spiritual, Dehonian
and academic
formation towards
future ministries.
